The following video is of a guest lecture delivered for Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga on the 26th of March 2010. The lecture presents a model for 'indigenous development' which commences with 'the quest for social justice and the desire for culture revitalisation', proceeds to distinctive cultural creativity before alighting upon the theme of 'the gift of indigeneity'. Along the way, I talk about aspects of my own personal journey which brought me to these themes and ideas. My thanks to Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga.
