2007
During the first half of 2007, I did not accept any speaking engagements owing to a heavy research workload. I had two public speaking engagements in that time including a keynote address to the Māori Innovation Summit, held at Te Papa in February. In the second half of 2007, I have accepted a small number of engagements.
  • 26 September: 'Some Speculations on Māori Identity in the New Zealand of tomorrow', a paper delivered to a symposium entitled 'Concepts of Nationhood: Marking 100 Years Since the proclamation of Dominion Status for New Zealand', Legislative Council Chamber, Parliament Buildings, Wellington.
  • 10 September: 'The Creative Potential Paradigm emerging in iwi/Māori communities', A keynote address delivered to Tranzform: Te Tīnihanga, A Conference of the Library and Information Association of New Zealand, Rotorua, 10 September 2007.
  • 27 July: 'Ki Te Whaiao, ki Te Ao Mārama', a hui convened by Te Wānanga-o-Aotearoa, Mōkai Kāinga Marae, Kāwhia, 27 July. My presentation concerned the Te Ao Mārama worldview and Te Aka Matua, values in the Te Ao Mārama worldview.
